Tim returned from South America where he had been living for several years to Ohio and his family business, AAA Wastewater, in 2009 due to his mother’s illness with ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease. In 2010, he was named President and led the company to be a finalist for the 2013 Family & Private Business Awards from the Goering Center at the University of Cincinnati and winning the Warren County Safety Council’s Pinnacle Award.
The company was one of the first to be certified as a Green Business with Blue Certification for water stewardship from Dayton Regional Green 3.
Currently, Tim is working hard to develop his company and its employees and services: septic tanks, grease traps and portable restrooms. He also serves on the Franklin Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. And no, Tim is not Hispanic, which means you non-Hispanics-but-curious-people can also join our fantastic chamber!
Tim has been recognized for his work with United States Peace Corps, both in Peru and in Paraguay, and as director of the largest art show-fundraiser in Peru for the American Embassy. In this role he appeared in numerous national magazines, TV & radio programs including the international CNN en Español. He worked as the Public Diplomacy and Cultural Affairs Officer for the Canadian Embassy in Peru and consulted for various organizations both in NYC and in Latin American such as Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase and Scotiabank. Past positions include with the Greater Columbus Arts Council’s Columbus Arts Festival, the Ludwig Foundation for the Arts in Cuba and the Arts & Business Council of New York.
He holds a B.A. in journalism from The Ohio State University and a M.S. in Administration from The New School in New York City where he was a Peace Corps Fellow.
