Klosterman Baking Company is seeking a human resource coordinator to assist in employee affairs and ensure all new employees are informed of and comply toall laws, policy’s and standards governing food safety and quality. 

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safety

a. Plant Safety Meetings – Monthly 100% attendance

b. Plant OSHA Safety Training – Monthly 100% attendance

c. Quarterly Corporate Safety Meetings / Plant Audits

d. Metric Reporting Safety Dashboard – Monthly

e. Monthly safety walk throughs, 100% attendance

f. Assist Safety Coordinator in all aspects of safety training.

g. Tracking of all monthly safety training.

h. Filing of all safety training documentation

i. OSHA 300 logs maintained monthly

j. Investigate all accident and incident

k. Safety Awards and Recognition

• Training

a. TBD

Reporting

a. Weekly Safety Dashboard

b. Turnover Report (number of terminations monthly)

c. Weekly HR Report (all reports submitted on the Friday of each week)

• Improve Communications

a. Weekly schedules conference calls with Market Managers.

b. Weekly Staff Meetings

c. Monthly grievance meetings (were applicable)

d. Monthly roundtable meetings with hourly associates (Discuss recruiting, safety, training, disciplinary, workers comp, attendance, FMLA)

• Recruiting

a. Follow designed recruiting plan

b. Recruit daily (Utilize Sysdine – online application tool to fill open positions in a timely manner)

c. Utilize staff meetings to discuss needs and possible openings.

d. Review points weekly to keep updated on possible terminations.

• ADP

a. Update ADP weekly (new hires, terms, pay adjustments, tracking of benefit eligibility).

FMLA

a. Update FMLA tracking daily

b. Review all FMLA paperwork monthly to ensure eligibility is still in affect.

c. Track days away from work related to FMLA to ensure policies pertaining to vacation days, PD days, PA days

d. Communicate daily with Supervision related to call offs for accurate documentation.

Benefits

a. New hire benefit information will be entered into ADP when new hire information is entered.

b. New hire follow up report to Mindy within 30 days. (details coming)

c. Quarterly follow up report to Mindy within 30 days. (details coming)

d. Dental plan reimbursement procedures (claim forms / summary plan description) explained to associate in

New Orientation Package / Check off sheet

a. Drug Screening and Criminal Background Screening results in hand prior to New Hire start date.

b. MVR (where applicable) must be run prior to start date. (see KOP for standards)

c. New hires are to be orientated prior to their start dates.

d. Orientation check list must be completed for all new hires.

e. New hire evaluation form

Payroll

a. Payroll process completed by 3:00 p.m. on Monday’s

b. All associates Direct Deposit

c. All reports completed timely

• Workers Compensation

a. Ensure all paperwork is filed timely with State Auto.

b. Follow up on all workers comp. claims to ensure procedures are being adhered to.

c. Continue to hold State Auto accountable.

d. All workers comp files are maintained to standards.

e. All paper work must be date stamped and filed timely.

f. Provide State Auto requested information timely. are used prior to FMLA. detail.

• Unemployment

a. Provide third party admin. all requested information timely

b. Continue to hold 3rd party accountable

c. Attend all unemployment hearings when requested

d. Maintain all unemployment files.

Sysdine

a. Qualify applicants daily

b. Enter all new hire information into sysdine

c. Manage all associates currently in sysdine (example: termed associates)
