Jackelin was born and raised in San Pedro Sula, Honduras and immigrated to the US in 2006. She obtained her Marketing degree in Honduras and completed her MBA in 2008 at the University of New Orleans. She has lived in the US for 9 years and her professional experience has been focused in the fields of higher education and healthcare. Her passion to serve the Hispanic community never ends. Shortly after she moved to Dayton with her husband, she started volunteering for the Dayton Hispanic Chamber’s Marketing committee in January of 2015. She supports the chamber in website and social media management as well as with event planning. She currently works as a part-time bilingual medical interpreter in the Greater Dayton area but is looking forward to returning to supporting service industry fields as a full-time marketing professional. Jackelin and her husband Jose reside in Dayton. They enjoy road trips, biking, camping, and hiking.
