Tony Ortiz is secretary of the Ohio Commission on Hispanic/Latino Affairs and the Associate Vice-President for Latino Affairs at Wright State University. He also heads the Latino Dream Team, a proactive group of Dayton-area Latino organizations whose mission is to preserve the culture of Latinos and assimilate them into the fabric of the community. The group has taken the lead in addressing education, health care, economic and quality-of-life issues relating to the Latino community. 1137

Claudia was born and raised in Sonora, Mexico and immigrated to Los Angeles (LA) CA in her mid-teens. She obtained a BA in Political Science and Public Administration from Cal State University LA, and an MA in Government and Political Economy & Government of Latin America and the Caribbean from Georgetown University. Claudia also completed graduate studies in Strategic Business Alliances at Santiago de Chile’s United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean
