For the first time since the second half of 2008, Ohio’s unemployment rate is less than 7 percent, and the number of unemployed workers has dropped below 400,000. According to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, October’s jobless rate was 6.9 percent, and the number of unemployed people in the Ohio fell by 10,000 to 396,000. Our unemployment rate is currently below the national average.
