CSI Ohio Marks First Year of Common Sense Regulations

The Common Sense Initiative was established on Jan. 10th, 2010 to create a regulatory framework that promotes economic development, is transparent and responsive to regulated businesses, makes compliance as easy as possible, and provides predictability for businesses. In its first year, CSI Ohio:

  • Streamlined obstacles to job creation in Ohio
  • Developed and advocated for legislation codifying the Common Sense Initiative in Ohio statute and creating a new level of accountability in the administrative rulemaking process.
  • Created a Small Business Advisory Council.
  • Established a number of ways for business owners and other Ohioans to contribute their ideas for eliminating specific regulatory obstacles that impact business.
