Celebrating Women Entrepreneurs in Dayton: Jazline Gomez at National Entrepreneurship Month Panel

In celebration of National Entrepreneurship Month, the Executive Women's Council hosted a powerful panel discussion on how women-owned businesses are driving economic growth in the Dayton region. The event highlighted the significant contributions of women entrepreneurs and their pivotal role in shaping the future of local economies.

Among the panelists was Jazline Gomez, Owner of Pepe's Mexican Flavors and President of the Dayton Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Jazline brought valuable insights to the conversation, sharing her journey as a business owner and her leadership at the Chamber, where she advocates for and supports the growth of Latino-owned businesses. She emphasized the importance of resilience, community support, and the need for empowering resources that help women entrepreneurs thrive.

The panel also included LeKeisha Grant, Innovation Manager at the Entrepreneurs' Center, Dabriah Rice, Kitchen Manager at 6888 Kitchen Incubator, and Jamaica White, Project Manager at 6888 Kitchen Incubator, each offering their unique perspectives on how women in business are transforming the local economy. Their collective experiences underscored the challenges and triumphs women face in entrepreneurship, highlighting the importance of community-driven initiatives, mentorship, and innovation.

Following the panel discussion, attendees were given a tour of the 6888 Kitchen Incubator, a state-of-the-art shared commercial kitchen space designed to help new food entrepreneurs launch and grow their culinary businesses. The kitchen incubator represents a vital resource for aspiring food business owners, providing them with the tools and space needed to bring their culinary creations to life.
