Today Gov. John R. Kasich released the following statement in response to the announcement that Nestlé, the world’s largest food company with more than $98 billion in sales, will relocate its Nestlé USA Pizza Division from its present location in Northbrook, Illinois to Solon, Ohio. Nestlé USA is expected to create approximately 250 jobs in Solon as a result of the move.
“When one of the world’s largest companies chooses Ohio as its new destination for an entire business division, I think that sends a strong message about the work we’re doing to make our state a better place for job creators. Our results-focused economic development team at JobsOhio and a more business-friendly environment is proving to be a winning formula for job creation.”
