Robert was born in General Trevino, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He grew up in the Rio Grande Valley of south Texas, and became a naturalized US citizen in 1963. Robert has lived in the Dayton area for 25 years and started Salinas Industries as an automotive supplier in 2000. To diversify, Robert purchased a paper converting business in 2007.He employees 20 people in this family owned business. He has been an active member of the Dayton Hispanic Chamber for more than 4 years and was a OHCC finalist for “Businessman of the Year” at the Ohio Hispanic Business Summit this year.
