Wright State University Lake Campus, located in Celina, OH, invites applications for a Business Manager.  This individual will provide budgetary, financial, and human resources support functions for the Lake Campus, and to provide oversight to Lake Campus Auxiliaries (Food Service/Bookstore/Housing Financials).

Job Duties / Essential Functions:

60%: Support the Dean in the business operation of the campus by performing strategic financial analysis including auditing finances of auxiliaries, special programs, and grants; authorizing, monitoring and reviewing monthly expenditures; forecasting; tracking income and expenditures; application of control procedures in the use of funds; and implementation of new initiatives and programs.
Track monthly status and analyze discrepancies to maintain sound budget.
Maintain adherence to policies/procedures of Budget Planning and Resource Analysis (BPRA), Research and Sponsored Programs (RSP), University Foundation, Human Resources (HR), and other university departments.
Serve as Financial Manager (WCPA) for fiscal and operational matters; function with full oversight responsibility for all financial transactions of the Lake Campus.

30%: Coordinate personnel matters including departmental hiring via administration of PeopleAdmin ensuring policy compliance with Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI) and HR.
Oversee implementation and processing of all employment contracts including new employees and calculations of overload and adjunct contracts. Track base funded faculty/staff, graduate students, adjunct and summer faculty pay.

10%: Coordinate Pro-Card program at the Lake Campus including monthly reconciliations.
Complete term Higher Education Information/Ohio Board of Regents reporting including sections taught, space, and efficiencies report.
Supervise classified accounting associate position; supervise Courier/Vending Assistant (student employee).
Serve on university and departmental committees as appropriate.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and five years relevant work experience or Master’s Degree and minimum 3 years’ relevant work experience; Strong financial management background, knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles, and sound decision making skills; detail oriented; demonstrate strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to effectively communicate with multiple constituencies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in higher education finance/administration.
