Business and government leaders celebrated the official construction kick-off of the Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway racino on May 30.
The $125 million development at the intersection of Needmore and Wagner Ford Roads will repurpose an industrial brownfield and add up to 1,000 jobs to the region’s economy (in addition to approximately 1,000 construction jobs).
The Hollywood-themed racing and gaming complex in north Dayton is being developed by Penn National Gaming, Inc., and will include a 5/8-mile harness racing track with enclosed seating, up to 1,500 video lottery terminals, dining options and more. It is slated to open by the third quarter of 2014.
Penn National has committed to maximizing opportunities for local workers, construction firms and minority-and women-owned businesses.
